2. Digital/Affiliate marketing

Love helping people while you make extra income? If this sounds like you, then affiliate marketing is the ultimate side hustle for an intelligent introvert like you!

Unlike what most people believe, affiliate marketing does NOT require you to show your face, or talk to people for hours everyday. With some know-how and training, you can definitely make up to $500+ per month doing affiliate marketing. In fact, some affiliate marketers such as Jeff make 6-figures promoting products through blogging.

So, how do you make money doing affiliate marketing?

In a nutshell, affiliate networks such as FlexOffers and CJ Affiliate have a network of companies that pay affiliates a commission for promoting them online. They do so because affiliates are a cost-effective way to build brand awareness, increase sales and essentially advertise a company's products and services.

There are plenty of great affiliate marketing programs you can apply for as a beginner. If you want to search for an affiliate program or network for your niche, simply do a Google search. Type “best affiliate programs for [your niche]” or “recurring affiliate programs for [your niche]”.

Here are some of my favorite affiliate programs and networks for beginners and their niches:

  • Ultimate Bundles: make money, save money, home making, digital products and more
  • Awin:  finance and insurance, retail and shopping, travel, Telco's and services
  • Flex Offers:  business, careers, digital products, education, energy, entertainment, family, financial services, home and garden, health and wellness, legal services, media, online services, mobile
  • Magic Links: one of my favorite alternatives to Amazon Associates. Includes niches such as fashion, lifestyle, health, beauty and more. I highly recommend using links that have a commission rate above 5% to make it worth your while.

4. Start a profitable niche blog

If you're an introverted mom looking for the best side hustle to start in 2023, consider starting a profitable niche blog!

Blogging is one of the best ways for introverts and moms who want to work on their own terms and be their own boss. However, most people believe that starting a blog business requires lots of technical skills, or a lot of money.

Suzi from Start A Mom Blog is a former teacher turned blogger who helps moms like you the strategy behind running a profitable blog online. Over the course of 6 years, Start A Mom blog has exploded into a community of 100k students, multiple courses and tons of student success stories.

Your next steps:

5. Scoping

Scoping is another great side hustle for introverts to make money from home.

First and foremost, what is scoping? In a nutshell, as a scopist, you edit court transcripts for court reporters. Unlike a proofreader or editor, scoping for court reporters requires the ability to compare a court reporter’s shorthand to the final transcript.

Court reporters use a special computer-aided transcription software that translates the steno into English. They use stenotype machines to capture the proceedings, which are then transferred to the computerized system.

Your job is to review each steno line in the transcript and compare it with its corresponding English translation. If there are any discrepancies between them, you will make changes accordingly.

To do this well requires knowledge of both stenographic symbols and legal terminology. In short, you'll need to know how stenographic symbols correspond with words and phrases so that you can accurately translate them into English. This also ensures that the final product sounds natural and captures all relevant information accurately.

As this side hustle is highly technical, I highly recommend getting professional training from scopists who have plenty of scoping experience.

Linda, founder of Internet Scoping School and her team put together an amazing course that teaches you everything. The course covers everything from how to use professional scoping software, to getting clients as a scopist working from home.

You can also check out the free scoping mini course to see if scoping is a good fit for you. Here's what you will learn:

  • What is scoping? What does a scopist do?
